Yucca Valley brush fire on Skyline Road at 100% containment

Fire crews continue their response and mop-up efforts at the 39-acre brush fire in Yucca Valley.

On Sunday (April 19) at around 2:00 p.m., emergency personnel responded to reports of a fire near the 52000 block of Skyline Road in Yucca Valley. Crews from Cal Fire, San Bernardino County Fire, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Morongo Valley Fire Department were part of the response, which also included at least one helicopter from Cal Fire.

As of 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday (April 21) Cal Fire said that the fire was at 100% containment and all fire crews and resources have been released.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
