
Probation check on out-of-state felon results in arrest for investigation into firearm possession
A convicted felon was allegedly found with three firearms and ammunition at a home in Twentynine Palms.
On Thursday (April 16), San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies and the San Bernardino County Probation Department conducted a probation check on an out-of-state parolee with a registered address in Joshua Tree. They contacted Thomas Ray, 25, who they located at a home in the 5400 block of Lupine Ave in Twentynine Palms. Deputies say that Ray was found with three firearms and numerous rounds of ammunition. As a convicted felon, Ray is prohibited from possessing any weapon or ammunition.
Thomas Ray was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of weapons and ammunition. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center without bail.
