Wildcats baseball wins over Academy for Academic Excellence

The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats baseball team defeated Academy for Academic Excellence 4-2 on Thursday (March 20)

Anthony Gabriel, Jr got 2 hits, Jax Langdon, Mauricio Montada, Anthony Escandon and Geziah Garcia each got one hit.

Anthony Gabriel, Jr and Anthony Escandon each drove in one run for the Wildcats.

Anthony Escandon earned the win for Twentynine Palms. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and two runs (zero earned) in six innings, striking out six and walking three. Mauricio Montada threw one inning of shutout ball for Twentynine Palms in relief. The righty allowed one hit, striking out two and walking one.
