Twentynine Palms Youth Council applications open for 2026 – 2027

The City of Twentynine Palms has opened applications are for the 2026–2027 Youth Council. This leadership program is open to students entering grades 6 through 12 in the fall who are passionate about making a positive impact in their community.

The Youth Council is composed of 14 student members who serve as the voice of local youth, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to city initiatives. Members meet twice a month, collaborate with city leaders, organize community projects, and gain hands-on experience in leadership, civic engagement, and local government.

Established in 2024, the Youth Council provides opportunities for students to build strong leadership and communication skills, including training with the National Youth Leadership Council.

Applications are available online at 29palms.org as well as in person at City Hall and the Parks and Recreation Office. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, June 3, 2026, by 6:00 PM.
