Twentynine Palms Wildcats baseball win over Coachella 7 – 4

The Twentynine Palms High School varsity Wildcats baseball team bested Coachella Valley High School on Thursday (April 16) with a final score of 7-4

Anthony Gabriel Jr. collected three hits in four at bats.

Ransom Wallace singled down the left field line which helped the Wildcats tie the game at one in the top of the third inning. Eduardo Avalos doubled down the left field line, which helped the Wildcats tie the game at three in the top of the sixth.

The Wildcats captured the lead in the top of the eighth after Anthony Gabriel Jr,. singled to center field, Bubba Corney doubled down the left field line, and Jax Langdon singled, each scoring one run.

Ian McClay earned the win for Twentynine Palms Varsity. The hurler surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Anthony Escandon stepped on the hill first for Twentynine Palms. The hurler gave up six hits and three runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking two.
