The Creative Cafe hosts a drop-in collage art session today at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center
The Creative Cafe returns this week with a collage program. The Creative Cafe is a weekly drop-in art session hosted by local artist Jillian Sandell. She sets up a different creative activity each week. This week, she will provide different kinds of materials – magazines, catalogs, packaging, vintage media (much of it new since last time we did collage), plus different kinds of glues and cutting implements. For those of you who appreciate guidance, I will offer a few suggested prompts on how to proceed with your collage(s) – and as always you are always welcome to use the materials in whatever way is fun for you.
The Creative Cafe is open to all ages and skill levels, and donations are accepted on a sliding scale.
Wednesday’s session runs from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Food For Thought Cafe in the Joshua Tree Retreat Center. Reservations are not required but donations between $5 and $20 are suggested.
