Sex offender fails to register status with California, arrested in Yucca Valley

A sex offender with a violent felony conviction was arrested in Yucca Valley on suspicion of failing to register with the State.

On Monday  (August 3) at 10 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a pedestrian check near the intersection of Sunnyslope Drive and Hilton Road in Yucca Valley. Deputies say they contacted Edward Adams, a 46 year-old transient. Deputies say that Adams was a convicted sex offender and violent felon who had failed to register with the State of California for more than 30 days. County records indicate Adams was currently on felony probation for failing to register as a sex offender in April. Records show Adams was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Edward Adams was arrested on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender and possessing drug paraphernalia. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $60,000.
