Morongo Valley CSD meeting suddenly cancelled due to lack of quorum

Last night’s Morongo Valley Community Services District Board of Director meeting was cancelled due to last minute lack of quorum.

While General Manager Brittany Chavez and Assistant Fire Chief Casner were present to represent staff, Financial Director Johnny Tolbert was the sole Board member in attendance at the meeting, with the other four seats left vacant.

The regularly scheduled meeting turned into a waiting game for attendees, who were not informed that the meeting was likely going to be cancelled, until Director Tolbert called off the meeting at exactly 6:15 p.m.

Tolbert stated that some Board members had informed General Manager Chavez they weren’t able to attend, though no reason was given why it was not cancelled ahead of time.
