Operation: Consequences serves warrants targeting street gangs and weapons, one arrested in Twentynine Palms

Street gang activity was targeted in Twentynine Palms last week by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Gang/Narcotics Division as part of Operation Consequences.

Between July 27 and August 2, the Sheriff’s Department served 23 search warrants related to gang members and convicted felons throughout San Bernardino county. One of those arrests was made in Twentynine Palms. 

Operation Consequences is currently targeting illegal criminal street gangs. Over the one-week period, investigators contacted gang members and people prohibited from possessing firearms. During their investigations, 19 firearms were seized which included three ghost guns. Investigators made 11 felony arrests during the operational period.

On Tuesday (July 29) at around 2:15 p.m., the Sheriff’s Gangs and Narcotics Division made an arrest for investigation into weapons in the 5300 block of Bailey Avenue in Twentynine Palms.

A representative of the Sheriff’s Department said that more specific information about arrests made as part of Operation:Consequences could not be shared due to possible connections to gangs, narcotics, and future investigations.
