UPDATED: Daniel Howard Joslin, 61-year-old Resident of Yucca Valley found dead, murder investigation opened
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help with information about a man who has gone missing from Yucca Valley.
On Friday, July 3, 2026, at about 7:31 p.m., Morongo Basin deputies responded to a missing person report in Yucca Valley. The missing person, Daniel Howard Joslin, had not been seen or contacted by family or friends for about ten days. Investigators received information Joslin might have intended to travel to Oregon, but no evidence has been found to confirm he traveled there and his whereabouts remain unknown.
- Joslin is described as a 61-year-old White male from Yucca Valley.
- Joslin is about 6′ 2″ and weighs approximately 260 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
- Joslin was last in contact with family and friends on June 26, 2026.
