Memorial for Marjorie Smith being held this Saturday (5/30)

Majorie Smith passed away on Tuesday, April 21st. She was 89 years old.

Marjorie was the organizing force behind the San Bernardino County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, as well as a volunteer and organizer for the Red Cross. Her dedication to helping others prepare for an emergency has helped hundreds in the hi-desert over the years, and in February she was recognized at the Yucca Valley Town Council with a Yucca Valley Spirit Award.

The memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 56885 Onaga Trail in Yucca Valley.
