“Girls on the Run” begins March 3, registration is now open

Registration is now open for “Girls on the Run” programming in Twentynine Palms. Put on by the City’s Parks and Recreation Department, the programs will run from March 3 through May 21.
Girls on the Run offers two age-specific programs for grades three through eight. It’s a safe, inclusive environment where girls build life skills such as goal setting, teamwork, emotional resilience, and healthy habits through running and movement. The season concludes with a celebratory 5K event.
The registration fee is $15 per participant, made possible through a grant from the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and Nike. This funding was awarded last year and continues to support girls in Twentynine Palms by reducing barriers to participation and advancing NRPA’s Get Her in the Game initiative.
The sessions begin next week, running Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays depending on age group.
Registration is required and must be completed through the Girls on the Run website at gotrinlandempire.org
