Deputies use taser on man holding knife after responding to call about disturbance in Twentynine Palms

Deputies had to use a taser on a man with a knife who allegedly punched his father.

On June 27 at around 10:00 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies say they responded to a call for a disturbance in which a man punched his father and fled a home in Twentynine Palms. Deputies identified the suspect as Frank Willis, 26, and say they contacted him walking on Adobe Road near Gorgonio Drive in Twentynine Palms. Deputies say Willis attempted to flee, running through traffic on Adobe Road. When they caught up with him they say he took a fighting stance and held a knife toward deputies. Deputies say they used a taser on Willis and he was taken into custody.

Frank Willis was arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
