Attempted burglary in Morongo Valley thwarted by live security camera
A man on parole was arrested for investigation into attempted burglary in Morongo Valley.
On Tuesday (July 1), San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies say they received a call from a homeowner in the 51700 block of Elm Street in Morongo Valley about an attempted burglary. Deputies say the homeowner saw live security camera footage of a suspect on their property and called 911. Deputies identified the suspect as Deion Brown, 37, and say he attempted to enter two homes in the area.
Deputies responded and say they found Brown hiding on the property on Elm Street. Brown is on probation and has been convicted of violent felonies. He was taken into custody without further incident.
Deion Brown was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and probation violations, and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $500,000 bail.
