Grandparents out for a ride on an antique tractor had to be rescued in south Yucca Valley after the tractor rolled over on them. About 2:15 p.m., rescuers were called to Powerline Road, where the radio antennas are, south of Acoma and Golden Bee, after an antique tractor flipped over and pinned a man, knocking him unconscious, and slightly injuring his wife, both estimated to be in their 60s. Due to the rugged terrain, the injured man had to be rescued by Mercy Air, and was taken by helicopter to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. The woman was rescued by the Sheriff’s Department, which brought her down in a sport utility vehicle, where she was transferred to an ambulance and taken to the hospital.
