School supply giveaway at Boys & Girls Club this Tuesday (7/28)
The bus has been packed full of school supplies, and now it’s time to give them away!
Basin Transit’s annual Pack the Bus School Drive held a school supply drive at the Wal-Mart parking lot on July 11, where community members filled a bus with more than 100 backpacks, crayons, notebooks, paper, pencils and more.
This week, Basin Transit will be distributing the school supplies to local kids and teenagers. The supplies will be distributed at an event at the Boys and Girls Club of the Hi-Desert in Yucca Valley. The event is open to all K-12 students and their families throughout the Morongo Basin while supplies last.
To get school supplies, come to the Boys and Girls Club of the Hi-Desert, located at 56525 Little League Dr. in Yucca Valley. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. and runs until 7:00 p.m. or all the supplies have been given away.
