YVPC to discuss lot consolidation and Hi-Desert Artists mural tonight (6/23)

For the meeting’s agenda, it is recommended the Planning Commission finds the Yucca Trail Reversion to Acreage exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under the Minor Alterations in Land Use Limitations since it is retaining the existing Offer of Dedication (OTD) and easements.

The location is at the southwest corner of Yucca Trail and Emerson Avenue where there are currently eighteen lots on 9.21 acres. The applicant wishes to combine the eighteen individual lots into one.

It’s also recommended the Commission approve a mural on the east facing wall at Hi-Desert Artists. Painted by local artist Victoria Rothlisberg, the proposed mural entitled “Where Time Rests in Stone,” will depict desert wildlife, landscapes, and history.

It all begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Yucca Room at the Yucca Valley Community Center. Open to the public with opportunity for public comment.
