Yucca Valley begins annual road repair through August 28

The Town of Yucca Valley’s annual crack, slurry and cape seal project began Tuesday (August 19). Striping removal has already begun on roads throughout town, and will continue through August 28. Crack sealing will begin on September 2 through September 9. After crack sealing, slurry and/or cape seal applications will be applied to further strengthen and protect the roadway surface.

The Town says that the proactive maintenance effort is designed to extend the life of local streets and reduce the need for costly roadway reconstruction in the future. Residents and businesses within the project area will receive advance notice from the contractor regarding any temporary impacts to access or parking.

The Town of Yucca Valley reminds motorists to slow down in work zones and drive carefully to ensure the safety of crews and the public.
