Yucca Valley woman arrested for investigation into supplying alcohol to over 50 minors at “out-of-hand party”

A woman was arrested after allegedly hosting and supplying alcohol to a party of more than 50 teenagers in Yucca Valley.

On Saturday night (October 3) at around 9:30 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an out-of-hand party in the 7100 block of Plasse Drive in Yucca Valley. Several neighbors reported that young people were drinking at a party.

Deputies responded and said that there was a party being held at the location, and that “50-60 subjects mostly consisting of minors were in attendance.” They did not identify any other drugs being used at the party. During their response, deputies contacted Anita Shannon, 51, a resident of the home and parent of one of the minors. Deputies say she was responsible for allowing the minors to consume alcohol.

Anita Shannon was arrested on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of minors. She was cited and released at the scene.
