Yucca Valley Sheriff’s Sub Station burglarized, one arrested

A man was arrested on suspicion of burglarizing a Sheriff’s station in Yucca Valley.

On Tuesday (October 27), San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a burglary at the Sheriff’s Sub Station at the Yucca Valley Community Center. The Sub Station is a smaller, satellite Sheriff’s station.

A witness called 911 to report the incident at around 7:55 p.m. though the exact time of the break-in is unknown. Deputies say that David Boites, 30, broke a window at the building and entered. They say that office supplies were damaged, and Boites took a Gatorade. He was taken into custody at the scene. Boites was found to be on probation for making criminal threats earlier in October.

David Boites was arrested on suspicion of burglary and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. He has since been released on bail.
