YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF DUI, CHILD ENDANGERMENT

A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Tuesday morning, accused of driving drunk with his children in the vehicle with him. About 1:45 a.m., deputies were called to the intersection of Joshua Lane and Onaga Trail in Yucca Valley because a car, driven by John Griffin, 27, had crashed into a Joshua tree. The car subsequently caught fire due to the crash. Deputies determined that Griffin had been driving under the influence. In the car with him were his two juvenile daughters. Griffin and his daughters were able to get out of their vehicle without injuries. John Griffin was arrested for investigation of DUI and felony child endangerment, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
