Wildcats Varsity Baseball Triumph Over Coachella Valley 7 to 5

The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats varsity baseball team bested Coachella Valley High School on Tuesday (April 14) with a final score of 7-5

The Wildcats flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Raul Ginez that drove in three runs.

Mauricio Montada earned the win for the Wildcats. The pitcher surrendered one hit and two runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking six. Ian McClay pitched one and two-thirds innings of zero-run ball for Twentynine Palms in relief. The reliever allowed one hit.

Raul Ginez went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Ransom Wallace and Anthony Escandon each collected two hits for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats will travel to Coachella Valley for their next game on Thursday.
