Fireworks cause small vegetation fire in Yucca Valley

Fireworks are suspected to be the cause of a vegetation fire in Yucca Valley over the Independence Day weekend.

On July 4 at around 11:45 p.m., San Bernardino County Fire responded to a report of a vegetation fire near the intersection of Sage Avenue and Golden Bee Drive. County Fire described it as a half-acre vegetation fire on a hillside. County Fire said there were access issues, but that they were assisted by Cal Fire. Crews were able to contain the fire by 1:00 a.m. 

No injuries were reported and no structures were impacted. County Fire said that they found fireworks near the location of where the fire started. No arrests have been made.
