Twentynine Palms Ladycats Volleyball vs. Cathedral City scores and highlights

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball team hosted the Lions of Cathedral City Tuesday night (September 2). The girls fought hard but came up short for the wins. Junior Varsity lost in three sets; 25 to 23, 20 to 25, and 13 to 15. Arabella Staggs served up six ace serves and put down three kills. Chessa Robinson served up five aces, four assists and had one kill. Evee Staggs was big at the net with six kills.
In Varsity action, the Ladycats lost the first set 16 to 25 and then found their groove in the next two sets but came up just short losing 25 to 27 both sets. Sophomore Eva Tili put down five kills, served up four aces and had two blocks for the night. Freshman Jada Nelson was big at the net with four kills, one assist, and served up four aces. Senior Violet Graham had four kills and one ace serve. Sophomore Leilani Stratton and Haylie Rodriguez played solid defense and both served up three aces.
The Ladycats are now 1 to 4 in the season and traveling on Thursday (September 4) to West Shores.
