
The 75th Annual National Day of Prayer will be held on Thursday (5/7)
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nations. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. This year’s theme is “Glorify God Among The Nations Seeking Him In All Generations,” I Chronicles 16:24.
The 29 Palms Ministerial Association will host three services in Twentynine Palms led by President McArthur Wright. Service times are 7 a.m. and Noon at Veterans Park (flagpole), City of Twentynine Palms, 6136 Adobe Road and 6:30 p.m. at Gospel Fellowship Christian Center Church, 5898 Adobe Road. Services are open to the public and Mayor Daniel Mintz from the City of Twentynine Palms will present a proclamation at the morning service.
