A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Monday, accused of possessing a weapon while being a felon. On October 4 around 10:30 p.m., deputies were called to the 72000 block of Gorgonio Drive in Twentynine Palms for a report of gunshots. During an investigation, deputies located three men who matched witness descriptions. At that time, Jonathan Romero, 28, was found to be in possession of a firearm and was able to be placed on the scene of the shooting. Jonathan Romero was subsequently arrested for suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
A Yucca Valley woman with several Sheriff’s warrants was arrested Thursday (September 9) accused of multiple crimes including criminal conspiracy and being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies contacted Amber Watson, 29, inside her vehicle at the Circle K gas station in Yucca Valley. The deputy discovered that Watson had an outstanding felony warrant for weapons violations and the she was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Amber Watson was arrested for investigation of felony criminal conspiracy, being a felon in possession of a firearm, being in possession of an assault weapon, possession of methamphetamine, driving while under the influence of drugs, and on $50,000 in misdemeanor warrants for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia She was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $1,025,000.
A Joshua Tree convicted felon was arrested Wednesday (September 8) accused of being in possession of a firearm. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies conducted a probation compliance check on Lyann Miller, 23, in the 62700 block of Wagon Wheel Road in Joshua Tree. Deputies located firearms during a search of the location. As a convicted felon, Miller is forbidden from owning guns or ammunition. Lyann Miller was arrested for investigation of probation violation, driving under the influence of drugs, and on a felony no-bail warrant for transporting or selling methamphetamine. She was booked into the West Valley Detention Center where she is being held without bail.
A Wonder Valley man was arrested Wednesday (September 8) accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies were called to the 5600 block of Gopher Grove Lane in Wonder Valley Wednesday (September 8) by a property owner requesting a check of his property out of fear that someone may be illegally living there illegally. Arriving deputies contacted Edwin Clausen, 41, at the location, who was determined to be on felony probation. During an investigation, Deputies determined Clausen was in possession of an unloaded double barrel 12 gage shotgun, ammunition, methamphetamine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia. Edwin Clausen was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
A Yucca Valley man originally arrested for making criminal threats had additional charges of firearm and controlled substance possession added to his list of charges following a Sheriff’s search of his property. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies assigned to the Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) followed up on an investigation into criminal threats. A warrant was issued for Troy Baccus, 31 of Yucca Valley for making criminal threats. Baccus was contacted and arrested for his active warrant.
During the investigation, deputies developed additional information and a search warrant was authored for Baccus’ residence in the 7400 block of Church Street in Yucca Valley. while serving the search warrant Thursday (September 2) Deputies located evidence of sales of controlled substance. There was several firearms and ammunition located at the residence. As a convicted felon, Baccus is prohibited from owning/possessing firearms and ammunition. Baccus was arrested on his warrant for making Criminal Threats, possession of controlled substance for sale, and possession of controlled substance while armed. Baccus was arrested without incident and was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $200,000.
