WONDER VALLEY CONVICTED FELON ACCUSED OF BEING IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM

A Wonder Valley man was arrested Wednesday (September 8) accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies were called to the 5600 block of Gopher Grove Lane in Wonder Valley Wednesday (September 8) by a property owner requesting a check of his property out of fear that someone may be illegally living there illegally. Arriving deputies contacted Edwin Clausen, 41, at the location, who was determined to be on felony probation. During an investigation, Deputies determined Clausen was in possession of an unloaded double barrel 12 gage shotgun, ammunition, methamphetamine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia. Edwin Clausen was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
