29 PALMS MAN ARRESTED AFTER SEARCH WARRANT FINDS HOMEMADE SILENCER

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested last week after a search warrant found multiple illegal items. On November 24 just before 7 a.m., Sheriff Deputies arrived at a property on the 3300 block of Desert Flower Ave. in Twentynine Palms to serve a search warrant. While executing the warrant, deputies contacted Gary Ogdahl, 57. According to Sheriff logs, deputies located a .22 rifle with a homemade silencer, .22 caliber rounds of ammunition, suspected narcotics, multiple clear plastic bags, and a scale. Ogdahl is a felon and prevented from owning firearms. Gary Ogdahl was subsequently arrested for investigation of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm and ammunition, and possession of a silencer and booked with his bail set at $50,000. Ogdahl made bail and was released from custody on November 25.
