Suspected burglar found with other people’s mail, passenger with alleged fake ID

A traffic stop on Old Woman Springs Road led to an arrest for investigation into stolen mail and a fake ID.

On Wednesday (January 7) at around 2 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Old Woman Springs Road and Hondo St. Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Daniel Deanda, 47. They say he was found in possession of tools used for the purposes of burglary. Deputies say a passenger, Tracey Blair, 63, presented a fake identification. Deputies say that they determined the identification was fake, and conducted a search of the vehicle where they found stolen mail packages. Blair was also found in possession of suspected controlled substances and paraphernalia. Deputies took both Deanda and Blair into custody.

Daniel Deanda was arrested on suspicion of possessing burglary tools and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. He has since been released on bail. Tracey Blair was arrested on suspicion of possessing controlled substances, paraphernalia, and false identification. She was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and has since been released on bail.
