Landers Homestead Valley Association discuss roads and taxes and tonight’s meeting (1/12)

The Landers Homestead Valley Association meeting will take place on Monday January 12th at 5:00 p.m. This meeting will be immediately followed by a San Bernardino special districts road maintenance meeting at 6:00 p.m.

Brief reports will be presented by representatives of the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s department; San Bernardino County Fire; Bighorn Desert View Water Agency and the office of San Bernardino County Supervisor Dawn Rowe.

Landers’ own Astronomy expert Ralph Megna will offer a presentation on What’s coming UP in the Sky, featuring Orion, the Winter Constellation.

Immediately following the meeting at 6:00 p.m., representatives from San Bernardino County Special districts road maintenance  will present a power point illustrating why a raise in annual property taxes is necessary for the proper maintenance of unpaved road systems, and to prevent the special district from being dissolved resulting in no maintenance whatsoever.

Located at Belfield Hall, 58380 Reche Road in Landers, the Association meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. and the Special Districts meeting will follow immediately afterwards.
