Suspected burglar arrested after three homes hit in Twentynine Palms
A Twentynine Palms man has been arrested for allegedy breaking into multiple homes.
On July 1, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to multiple residential burglary reports in Twentynine Palms. They say that they first responded to a report of a male who reached through an exterior glass window and attempted to take a wallet located inside the home in the 7000 block of El Sol Avenue. Deputy K. Ford said found damage to the home consistent with the report.
Deputies then responded to a report of a burglary in the 6000 block of Estrella Avenue. The victim said that a male suspect removed a security camera from the exterior of the home. Deputies reviewed surveillance footage they say showed a male suspect with a cover over his head. They conducted an area check for the suspect. During that area check, deputies responded to a third burglary report in the 6000 block of Aline Avenue. Victims in the third report told deputies that a male suspect with a cover over his head entered their home through a rear sliding glass door. Victims said that the suspect stole a blanket and entered a room occupied by two juveniles. Deputies say the suspect was startled by a dog and fled.
Deputies identified the suspect as Anthony Irvin, a 24 year-old resident of Twentynine Palms. On Thursday (July 9) at around 11:30 p.m., deputies served a search warrant at Irvin’s home in the 6000 block of Estrella Avenue. Irvin was taken into custody without incident.
Anthony Irvin was arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary and two counts of attempted burglary. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $500,000 bail.
