Kitchen in the Desert is hoping to lock in their outdoor seating area and add two paved parking lots for guests. The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will decide whether to move forward with the application after a public hearing tomorrow night.

The restaurant originally expanded the outdoor seating during the COVID-19 pandemic but never got official approval from the city to maintain it afterward. A yes vote will approve just over 1,600 square feet for outdoor dining. It will also make an outdoor bar just under 200 square feet permanent. The application also includes plans to add paved parking lots, one adjacent to the restaurant building and another across Mesquite Avenue.

You can attend the meeting in person and make public comments at City Hall at 6136 Adobe Road at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday night (10/20).
