Son of the Velvet Rat and Hotel Mercy play Mojave Gold Saturday at 6PM

Folk duo Son of the Velvet Rat plays the Mojave Gold tonight with opening band Hotel Mercy bringing their particular style of punk Americana back to the basin.

Son of the Velvet Rat is the alter ego of Austrian songwriter Georg Altziebler and his wife Heike Binder and have been described as folk noir, and their haunting melodies are sure to fill the warm wavey wooden cavern at the Mojave Gold.

Opening for the duo is Hotel Mercy, formed by Tim Paul Gray and Gabriel Hart back in January of this year. This is a return to the Mojave Gold for the four piece, which also features Pablo Jamil Castel de Oro and Keith Anderson. 

This show begins tonight at 6:00 p.m. with Hotel Mercy and then Son of the Velvet Rat planned for 7:00 p.m.
