Prepare for road closure on Palomar Avenue in Yucca Valley through Wednesday (7/15)

The Hi-Desert Water District announced a hard road closure on Palomar Avenue between Joshua Drive and Ute Trail for sewer project construction early next week.

The closure will begin on Monday, July 13, at 7:00 a.m. and remain in effect through Wednesday, July 15, at 5:00 p.m.

During the closure, Palomar Avenue will be completely closed to all through traffic between Joshua Drive and Ute Trail. Joshua Lane will remain open and will serve as the primary detour route. Detour signs and advance message boards will be placed to notify motorists of the closure and guide traffic safely around the work area. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow additional travel time.

Residents within the closure area will continue to have access to their properties; however, access may be temporarily delayed and will be coordinated with on-site construction personnel.
