MORONGO BASIN HEALTHCARE DISTRICT FUNDS FOOD PROGRAMS

As part of its Feeding Morongo Basin project, the Morongo Basin Healthcare District recently distributed checks to 18 local food pantries, churches and community centers in support of their efforts to distribute free food to Morongo Basin residents. Prior to receiving a check of up to $5,000, the organizations had to complete an application outlining how they intended to use the money to further their efforts to distribute free food in the Morongo Basin.

The 18 recipients are: 29 Palms Community Food Pantry; Twentynine Palms High School Interact Club; The Way Station; Morongo Basin Unity Home; Community Learning and Equipping Project; Desert Hills Presbyterian Church; Waste Not Morongo Basin; Yucca Valley Church of the Nazarene; Morongo Basin ARCH; Mara’s Christmas Wish, Inc.; Reach Out Morongo Basin; Crossview Bible Church; Family Services Association; Calvary Christian Fellowship; Copper Mountain Mesa Community Center; Church of the Lighted Cross; Friends of Wonder Valley and Copper Mountain College Foundation.
