The Morongo Basin Conservation Association has extended the deadline to apply for three college scholarships.
Students graduating from high school in June are invited to apply for one of the three college scholarships offered by the MBCA
Three scholarships, each in the amount of $1000, will be offered to students who demonstrate their intention to use their studies to further environmental conservation. Any field of study will be considered, as long as the student can relate their educational or career goals to conservation in an application essay.
Among the three scholarships, the MBCA expects to award one to a female student and one to an “arts” major in memory of local artist and conservationist Steve Rieman.
Applications are now due on April 12.
