Missing Yucca Valley man found deceased in Palm Springs

A man reported missing out of Yucca Valley earlier this month was found dead in the desert near Palm Springs.

Justin Dow, a 41 year-old resident of Yucca Valley, was reportedly last seen at a motel in Twentynine Palms on August 16. His family reported him missing to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Dow was found dead in the open desert northeast of Indian Canyon Drive and Powerline Road in Palm Springs on August 23. His death was reported by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office on Friday (August 29).

Dow’s cause of death remains under investigation.
