“Mara’s Wish” seeking volunteers at planning session Monday night (10/5)

The charitable organization Mara’s Wish is returning to the Morongo Basin this year. Organizers say they are ready to bring back the spirit, opportunity and substance of past Christmas celebrations.

The group pays tribute to Mara Cantelo, and they continue her tradition of distributing food and toys to families each Christmas season.

“Mara’s Wish,” is a non-profit affiliate of Basin Wide Foundation. They are looking for volunteers to help bring cheer to the hi-desert.

If you’re interested in getting involved, you are invited to a planning session Monday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Community Center’s Joshua Room.
