Man with criminal history of sexual battery arrested for alleged sexual assault of a minor

A man was arrested in Twentynine Palms for investigation the sexual assault of two people including a minor.

On Saturday (October 24) at 947 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of multiple counts of sexual assault at a home in the 6000 Ocotillo Avenue in Twentynine Palms. 

Deputies identified the suspect as Brian Damschen, a 57 year-old resident of Twentynine Palms. Records indicate he was convicted of the continuous sexual battery of a child and child abuse charges in 2013.

The Sheriff’s Department said that the two victims were Damschen’s caregiver and the caregiver’s daughter. They said that the abuse occurred over an ongoing period of time at Damschen’s home. One of the victims called 911 to report the abuse.

Brian Damschen was arrested on suspicion on charges related to the sexual abuse of a minor with enhances for previous convictions. He is currently being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
