Live Candidate Forums for Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms elections on “Up Close Show”
As part of their historical commitment to keep the communities of the Morongo Basin informed about local civic activities, Z107.7 will present special forums for the candidates for both Yucca Valley Town Council and Twentynine Palms City Council.
The forums will air live on the air as part of the Z107.7 “Up Close” show with host Gary Daigneault at 107.7 FM on the radio and then be offered as a podcast shortly after.
On Friday, September 11, 2026, the show, which airs live from 10 to 11am, will feature Yucca Valley Town Council District 5 incumbent Rick Denison and Challenger Dion Antic.
On Friday, September 18, the four candidates for the Twentynine Palms City Council Districts 4 and 5, Incumbents Octavious Scott and McArthur Wright will be joined by challengers Carlos Blandon and Shanese Risper.
The format is designed to allow voters to hear the candidates’ backgrounds and qualifications, followed by questions.
