Oktoberfest is set for Saturday, October 12. The patio Beer Garden opens at 3 p.m. with nine craft beers and two hard ciders on tap. Enjoy free, fresh-baked pretzel bites with your brew. Admission includes a buffet of authentic German dishes and dessert bar from 5 to 6 p.m. Can’t attend on October 12? Buy a ticket to support the Johnson Valley Improvement Association anyway. The Johnson Valley Community Center is one-and-three-quarters miles south of Old Woman Springs Road on Larrea Road, at the corner of Quailbush Road.
