Human skull found near Adobe Road and Baseline Road in Twentynine Palms
On Wednesday (April 22) at around 7:30 a.m., a hiker reported that he discovered what appeared to be a human skull near the intersection of Adobe Road and Baseline Road in Twentynine Palms. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded, and notified the Sheriff’s Homicide detail who assumed the investigation.
Detectives along with the Coroner’s Division and Crime Scene Specialists conducted a search in the area and recovered the skull. They say the skull appeared to have been exposed for an extended period of time. The remains will undergo forensic examination, while additional information is pending DNA results for the identification of the remains.
