Face slap after alleged road rage incident leads to arrest for out-of-towner

An alleged road rage incident on the highway led to one arrest.
On Sunday, July 27 just before 10:00 a.m. the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department received a call regarding road rage near the intersection of Sunburst Avenue and Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree. According to the victim, after a road rage incident the driver of the other car got out of his vehicle and “slapped the victim in the face.”
Ilja Gouscha, 47, of Aliso Viejo was identified as the suspect and was arrested on suspicion of battery. He’s since been released on bail.
