CMC Women’s Basketball defeats Los Angeles Harbor College at last night’s game

Copper Mountain College (CMC) Women’s Basketball delivered a commanding performance last night (November 26), defeating Los Angeles Harbor College 67-27 in a thrilling home game.

From the opening tip-off, the Fighting Cacti displayed relentless energy and teamwork, taking control of the game early with a suffocating defense that stifled LA Harbor’s offensive rhythm. By halftime, CMC had built a significant lead, which they continued to expand throughout the second half.

Head Coach Kris Groce praised the team’s focus and execution, stating, “Tonight, we played as a unit. The defensive intensity set the tone, and our offensive execution was sharp. This was a great team win.”

Key players for CMC included:

  • Eliza Navy  – 19 points with five 3pt shots
  • TT Thomas– 12 points with 4 steals
  • Edwina Pewo – 10 points and 5 rebounds
