Yucca Valley man on probation arrested for investigation into domestic violence

A Yucca Valley man on probation was arrested for investigation into domestic violence after sending a woman to the hospital.

On Sunday (March 1), San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Hi Desert Medical Center for a report of domestic violence. A victim with an injured abdomen had been brought to the hospital by a family member. The family member contacted the Sheriff’s Department to report the injury, saying that the victim had been kicked in the ribs by a suspect. Deputies spoke with the victim and family member at the hospital, and identified the suspect as Peter Campos, a 37 year-old resident of Yucca Valley.

Shortly after midnight on March 2, deputies contacted Campos at his home in the 7300 block of Warren Vista Avenue in Yucca Valley. Campos was found to be on probation, having been convicted in 2025 of weapons and child abuse charges.

Peter Campos was arrested on suspicion of charges related to domestic violence and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center without bail.
