The Bighorn-Desert View Water agency previously banked with Pacific First Federal which has become Banc of California. The current Board of Directors all have bank signing privileges and these will be carried over to Banc of California.
The new Director Rod Miller-Boyer’s signature will be on file for the Local Agency Investment Fund and he will now also be authorized to order the deposit or withdrawal of monies in the Fund.
The Board approved the receiving and filing of the annual disbursements exceeding $100 for fiscal year 2024/2025.
The General Manager Marina West gave a report on discussing the rate study.
“I wanted to remind the members of the Board and the general public that I am scheduling two special committee meetings on September 2 and on September 4 at 4:00 p.m. where we will be discussing the rate study that is underway and bringing the whole Board up to speed on what a rate study is, what the basis, the foundation is on how it can be built and get questions and answers on that.
Then on Thursday the (September 4) there would be a presentation on the draft of the rate study and hoping to get the committee to weigh in on whether we want to look at rate scenarios; do we want to look at variations? We have scheduled September 2nd and September 4 at 4:00 p.m. for special finance.”
The meeting was adjourned just after 8:00 p.m.
