2026 Yucca Valley Film Festival holding two additional nights of screenings starting on Wednesday (11/4)

The Yucca Valley Film Festival is returning for its 8th year in the hi-desert, and this year they are adding two additional nights of movie screenings on November 4th and 5th at the Paradigm Movie Theatre in Yucca Valley.
The Film Festival is sponsored by the Town of Yucca Valley and will host the traditional three day program on November 6, 7 and 8, but the additional two nights of screenings is made possible by the support of two local sponsors: Cherie Miller Realty and the Caputo Group. Film festival founder Matt Beurois says that their direct contributions made those additional screenings possible.
The November 4 program will open with the short documentary “Thank You For Listening” which follows Nashville country music star Joshua Ray Walker. It will be followed by the feature film Woozy, starring Into The Wild‘s Emile Hirsch.
Woozy director Joey Bicicchi and producer Mike Dozier will be in attendance for a Q and A after the film.
The additional screenings are also a partnership with non-profit The Joshua Tree Film Office. Matt Beurois discussed the organization to host Gary Daigneault on a recent episode of the Up Close Show. (You can find the entire interview below).
“With that film office, we are connecting to the film festival to line up the stars… and when we have professionals interested, producers, studios, people making commercials, when they want to make something locally because they want the Joshua Trees, they want the boulders, they want the landscapes, they now have someone in an office they can contact. And we are connecting in a way that the film office is producing two additional nights to the film festival this year.”
