A 20-year-old Marine stationed at Twentynine Palms was killed early Sunday morning when he was shot at a San Bernardino County strip club. The San Bernardino City police and fire departments were called at 2:12 a.m. for shots fired at the Flesh Club Showgirls strip club. Responding personnel found Douglas Rivas-Rauda in the parking lot with upper body trauma from numerous gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:22 a.m. Rivas-Rauda was at the club with several other Marines, according to the police, who added there is no indication they were involved in an altercation. San Bernardino City police are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
