The Yucca Valley High School Boys’ Soccer team hosted Desert Mirage High School for a pre-season game on Monday (November 22).
Junior Varsity won 3 to zero, the goalkeepers and the defense were strong, all played well, and kept the Desert Mirage Rams from scoring. The midfielders and strikers scored when they had the chance. Sophomore William Armstrong scored 3 goals, played an awesome game, and was named player of the game.
Varsity lost 4 to 1, the only goal was scored by Senior Striker AJ Carlos. The team played a very good Desert Mirage team and held them to no score at halftime. The player of the game is Senior midfielder Logan Barth for his effort and leadership. Logan always plays hard and never gives up.
The next game is on December 8 as YVHS hosts Cathedral City High School, Cathedral City only has a Varsity team and the game time is 5 p.m.
