A Yucca Valley man was arrested Friday night, accusing of biting and assaulting his girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, a woman in the 8400 block of Amador Avenue in Yucca Valley called for help shortly before 11 p.m., saying Leonardo Silva, 34, threw a lighter and a remote control at her, striking her in her head. The woman also said she had bruises on her arm from a fight with Silva the day before when he held her down and bit her multiple times. After an investigation, Leonardo Silva was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse and for a DUI warrant, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $55,000.
